BIOGRAPHY
HU Yanxi is a new media artist from Beijing, China, who has lived in Canada for eight years. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University, where he majored in Media Arts with a minor in Theatre and Film Studies.

His multidisciplinary practice spans video, photography, sound, and design, grounded in observations of life, explorations of memory, and reflections on depression. A passion for astronomy and science fiction deeply influences his conceptual framework.

During his undergraduate studies, he completed two internships with ERDOS Group, China’s premier fashion brand, sparking his engagement with the industry. His current work interrogates themes oscillating between abstraction and reality.
